A World at School

This is an education emergency:

There are 61 million children out of school and many more don't have access to quality learning.

Young people from all over the world have come together to demand that global leaders pay attention - and do something - about this emergency. They have created a resolution with some specific calls to action for the UN leadership.

Now is your opportunity to get involved - yes, you - and tell the UN what you think they need to do to provide more access to education in your country. The resolution, called The Youth Resolution: The Education We Want, is open for feedback until June 14th. The final resolution will be presented to the UN by Malala Yousafzai on July 12th.

Take a few minutes to comment on the A World at School Facebook page.

Let global leaders know what you think and get involved today.

What if learning was about knowledge and also about doing, being, interacting with others and changing the world?

What if formal learning was enjoyable, hands-on and relevant to life outside school while addressing the problems of our world?

What if education systems prepared learners to become responsible citizens, recognize and solve local problems...

Then we would be educating for a more sustainable future
